36 Weeks Pregnant Today!

I can not believe it! Every time the weeks count over and I find myself saying I'm .... weeks pregnant I kind of have to pinch myself. Today I am 36weeks pregnant!
Everything is still going well although I am experiencing swelling at different times in my hands face and feet but thankfully nothing coming up on tests yet. I have been finding it hard to get comfortable sometimes and really find breathing a bit of a test sometimes these days but I'm not complaining at all!

Today I caught up with a couple of ladies while our girls did dance in the morning and had a warm cuppa brr it was cold in Melbourne today!  Then I spent the rest of the morning cleaning up followed by chilling out at home with hubby and the kids till hubby had to go to work.
Tonight if I can find the energy I will do some more prep for the baby shower next weekend (another post about that to come) and try to sort out baby bunny's nursery because I am still not happy with it.

Thanks to everyone who always sends me messages I appreciate all your support xx

Nappy Bag Envy

I have been thinking about this for a while now and finally thought I would write about it today.
I was wondering have you ever envied someone who had a nappy bag?

I have done it many times this pregnancy and just the other day I could have came close to 'stalking' a lady walking across the road from the Royal Women's Hospital with a Mia Nappy Bag by Il Tutto .
I seen it hanging off the back of her pram and forgot where I was and what I was doing and just walked behind her to admire the bag! Haha  I was pointing it out to my husband and I think he was starting to get just a tad worried! It was a little bit funny and I laughed at myself but it left me wondering why?

Okay so I don't really remember having felt this way before about nappy bags but something seriously has happened to me! I am not sure if it is because I am older now and am influenced more by the mummy magazines and celebrities? Or maybe it is because for the past 4 or so years I have been exposed more then ever from the inside and out of the nursery industry?  I have been along to several trade shows for the industry and I think doing this has made me appreciate better quality products and the work that goes into getting them out there. I also like to  visit the baby expos direct to the public too so even though my baby girl is turning 5 I really feel like for the past 4.5 years I have been looking at all those baby things that I kind of missed with both the kids. I especially feel this with Airlie since she came into the world 3months early and I was totally consumed with her well being and surviving which now makes me feel like I didn't have time to become consumed with baby and nursery products.... if that makes sense? Well whatever it is, it sure has come as a bit of a shock!

What are your favourite nappy bags?

Mine are Mia from Il Tutto and Ava from Il Tutto A lovely lady by the name of Rachael B that I have met since moving to Melbourne is the one I blame for this new love! Yes Rach you told me about your bag and I checked them out while they were at the Baby Show in Melbourne and fell IN LOVE! Now every time I see the brand I drool. Oh and okay if I was a TV personality like Danni Minogue or Isla Fisher I could handle carrying the new limited edition of Nico Platinum by Il Tutto around as well but considering its all the famous people who seem to be getting them I am guessing this will stay a bit of a dream of mine!

I also have a soft spot for the Isoki brand with the Isoki reversible hobo nappy bag and the
Isoki Reversible Saddle Tote being my favourites. I also LOVE that Isoki also donate funds to the Royal Hospital for Women Foundation NICU which is an area that is very close to my heart.

Both brands are Australian owned and operated which I LOVE and are designed by Mothers too so I think this is a good reason to support the brands too.... now I just have to decide which one to buy????

Give me your feedback, what do I do? Argh decisions decisions! Leave your comments below!

So what nappy bag are you using now or what have you used in the past? Any tips on which one I should buy? What nappy bag do you dream of owning and do you think you will ever make it a reality.

Movie time with Mama Mia

I was lucky enough to score two tickets to a screening of Mother and Child last week via Mia's site. A friend and I went along to the GORGEOUS cinema in South Yarra. I have posted pics below. Go see the movie. How can I describe it in just a few words? Real, raw and unexpected. It was a real treat and not a child or G rated movie in site.

35 weeks & a spot of baby shopping

Well I am happy to report that I am currently 35weeks pregnant! I had my weekly check-up on Wednesday and did give the Doc a bit of a scare with some swelling but after full bloods and urine tests everything is showing up clear so that is a relief.  We decided to book a few more weekly appointments while we wait for a c-section date. I have been having a lot of tightenings and the Doctor joked that I might go into labour. Something I should think about I suppose since we still don't have a c-section date and it may very well happen!

After our appointment today we did a spot of baby shopping. We visited Pure Baby where we chose a going home suit, hat, wrap and 2 extra vests for winter for our baby bunny. I have to head back there again as there were lots of beautiful items that I could have brought but restrained myself ... this time!

I'm having a Baby Shower!

All I can say is I am so lucky to have wonderful friends! 2 GORGEOUS friends said they would co-host a baby shower in my honor and I am so excited!!!!! The shower is being held at one of my friend's houses on the 20th of June so we don't have much time to organise things, but then I do like a challenge and what better challenge then to plan a celebration about being pregnant!  This will be my second shower asI had a small baby shower with my first son Mason who is almost 10 years old. It was held by my Mum and consisted mostly of family members as I was quite young and being in my home town the majority of my family lived there. Unfortunately due to Airlie arriving so early (3months) I didn't get a chance to have a baby shower with her which was always something that broke my heart. So this makes this baby shower very special.

I can't help but be excited about this shower as so many things in this pregnancy are worth celebrating!
I am so excited that when I do celebrate my shower I will be 37 + 1 weeks pregnant which is just an amazing miracle. My Mum will be flying in from interstate and hopefully a few friends too. I have also made a few friends here since moving to Melbourne so hopefully they will be able to get along too. It is just so special to after everything we have been through to cap this pregnancy off with a beautiful party.

Stay tuned for a post about all things baby shower!!!

Thank you to Renee and Kylie for honoring me with a baby shower xx

DonateLife | Australian Organ & Tissue Donation & Transplantation Authority - DonateLife™

It is really important that if you choose to become a donor that you talk to your family about this. I'm a donor because I have personally been effected by a transplant when my Mum had a kidney transplant just over 6 years ago. Until she had her transplant she had to do several forms of dialysis and this took up alot of time. It also enabled her to do certain things due to extra things like bags of fluid and machine that would need to be carted around if she did decide to take a holiday (hardly ever happened)

Please consider becoming a donor because it is a really beautiful gift and thankfully I still have my Mum here who is able to lead a fuller life now due to someone's choice to help others.

Sugar & Spice Children's Market

I just wanted to tell you all about this cute little market that is happening on the 20th of June 2010. The Sugar & Spice Children's Market is a boutique children's market that is going to be
held for the first time at Woodend at the  St Ambrose Hall ( Templeton St Woodend VIC 3442) where I am told we will be kept toasty and warm with lovely heating and delicious stalls to swoon over. Then when it all becomes a little too much and you need to refuel (I'm going to need it cause I will be 37+1 weeks pregnant!!) you can stop for a coffee and don't forget cupcakes to eat too!
Lucky for us the market will be held every 3 months there after (September, December and March) so we can go back and visit the lovely country side (gosh I'm starting to sound like someone who lives in the city!)
I learnt about the Sugar & Spice Children's Market a few months ago via Sugar & Spice Children's Market Facebook Page (I think) and then via their Blog or maybe it was from Sarah who is an amazing designer who designed their logo and other eye candy treats to visually feast on for the market from Style Me Gorgeous ? I don't exactly remember now but all I know is I can't wait to go!
I am pretty excited about this market as there are quite a few stall holders I have watched develop over the past few years as designers and business owners and it will be so good to meet so many of them finally. I'm also excited to attend cause my baby bunny will be arriving soon after so I can buy some GORGEOUS BABY gifts for him and for my other 2 big kids too.

It is going to be a very big day with my Mum and possibly a few friends flying in from NSW early in the morning, they were under strict instructions that they needed to arrive before 9am so I could make it to the market as soon as it opened. Every time I seem to go to a great market I have to rush around and don't get to see everything... but not this time!  I also would love to recieve one of their goodie bags and you need to be there super early for that. There are going to be some great designers, creative eyes and businesses at the market and I can't wait to check them out.   A few of my faves are Kate from Tea & Jam  she was at another market I visited a few weekends ago and I didn't get all the way around to see her delightful stand and find out more about her photography services.Little Innoscents who have beautiful skin care, Natasha from Piper+Lily who designs and makes divine kids clothing and Miss Ruby-May who have the cutest little dolls. Airlie has already asked every so nicely to buy one for her from the last time we saw them at the markets. There are lots more stalls at the market so check them out at the blog which lists their June Retailers and Sponsors

After spending a few hours at the market we then have to head back to Melbourne where 2 of my awesome friends are hosting me a baby shower! I am so lucky to have such beautiful friends and I just can not wait for this weekend to get here! I'm so excited!!

Maternity Jeans by Seraphine

I wanted to share with you one of the best buys I have made during my pregnancy. My Maternity Jeans by Seraphine have been worn almost everyday since I purchased them and this is no over exaggeration either. Those that know me can tell you I am such a jeans lover so this time around I had to buy something that was comfy.  Early on in the pregnancy I made the mistake of thinking I could buy a pair of cheap maternity jeans that would get me by because I didn't want to feel guilty about $ I spent on myself. I soon came to see that this pregnancy was going to be all about celebration and my wonderful hubby encouraged me to buy special things for myself and not feel bad for doing it. So  I soon gave in and tried on a pair of Seraphine jeans and fell in love! I purchased the jeans at about 22weeks and have worn them pretty much every day since...I'm actually lost when they are in the wash.
I purchased mine from Maternity & Baby who have both an online store and a shop front in Newport Melbourne. The pic in this post is of me wearing my jeans at 29weeks for a maternity shoot.
The jeans cost me $189.00 but it is the best money I have ever spent in this pregnancy and I could say my life! I'm currently 35weeks pregnant and still enjoying my jeans. I hope I can still wear them a little after my baby bunny arrives because they are just so comfy.

34 Weeks & still counting!!

I  can't believe I am saying this but I was 34weeks on Saturday (29 May) I still find it surreal that I am counting up the weeks and my tummy continues to grow. I had my weekly appointment on Wednesday 2nd June  and everything was fine which is such a relief. I had normal blood pressure, no protein found in the urine etc... I didn't even have to have a blood test this week! We were also in and out of the hospital within an hour which has NEVER happened before. We are still waiting to hear when the c-section is and we were told that we may only be told a few days in advance. That was a bit of a shock but there is nothing we can do about this, its just a little notice would be good so we can sort out the big kids. Since our appointment was over so quickly this week we decided to go for lunch at Williamstown and what a pretty little place it is.
I am trying to get pics off my blackberry at the moment to share with you all so stay tuned and hopefully I can get that done in the next few days.
