OH GORGEOUS BABY

Just had to share this...now all that is missing is my big boy Mason.
I got heaps of comments about Aston's shirt which is a 'prammin' t-shirt from Pram Rock who you should check out as they are a funky Australian/NZ brand with lots of cool t-shirt.

Amazing Face Artist.

When ever we go to the markets Airlie usually gets her face painted and yesterday was no different. Now if you have kids you most probably know you can stand in line for sometime, which can get the better of both parents and kids. However yesterday we were all prepared to wait when we saw the amazing face painting ever! The amazing artist is Jenny Saunders from Pixies Face Painting and Portraits http://www.pixiesfaces.com/
I wish I had seen her when I was pregnant so I could have had her paint my tummy. I asked if she could do my make-up when going out? Haha
Go and check out her website and also check her out on facebook too and let her know I sent you by!

Markets mean Cupcakes!

Hanging out eating cupcakes with my big girl is a fun way to spend Sunday.
Airlie and I love going to the markets on the weekend and cupcake time there is lots of fun!
We usually just get through the door and Airlie has found where the cupcake stand is and wants to buy one. We have made the mistake of waiting till later and then end up missing out so now we usually grab one at the start of the day in a bag and have a break half way around the market.
I usually grabe a coffee too and Airlie a babycino but I missed out on my coffee yesterday but the cupcake was good all the same.
This picture was taken at Mathilda Markets at Caufileld Melbourne Australia. Do you like Airlie's tights? She was quite keen on wearing those rainbow tights and then everything else just seemed to go rainbow too! Kinda suits her personality anyways. She got loads of comments on them.

Happy McHappy Day!

What ever you are doing now stop it and head down to McDonalds..well that is after you finishing reading!

Today is McHappy day which is very close to our heart because we have used their services twice. Once with our oldest boy Mason who needed to have an abces and his appendix removed at 18months of age.
Then after Airlie wa born 3months premature she needed a bilateral ingunal hernia operation.
Both times we were provided with a home away from home and the staff were amazing. I hope more Ronald McDonald Houses are built around Australia and they need our help to do that. Royal North Shore Hospital urgently needs one that's for sure! We spent 6weeks in accommodation while Airlie was in NICU and having a RMH would have been fantastic. The accommodation we stayed in almost 5years ago is no longer there as a new research building had to be constructed in its space so I'm unsure what families of loved ones in NICU and ICU now use? If there are any powers of be out there reading please consider RNS for the next house.

I'm pretty sure a lot of people don't understand just how much Ronald McDonald do with the funds from McHappy Day so here are a few facts I wanted to share with you.

*As many as 250 families will be sleeping in a Ronald McDonald Houses tonight.

*Ronald McDonald Charities consist of Ronald McDonald House, Ronald McDonald Family Room and the Ronald McDonald Learning Program. They also help in many other areas of our community around Australia.

*over 600 children will receive catch up education this year through the Ronald McDonald Learning Program.

*RM Family Rooms provide a homely retreat within hospitals for families with seriously ill children. There are currently 4 family rooms in Australian hospitals and Maccas hope to build up to a further 12 rooms over the next few years.

*This year RMH will provide a home away from home to 6000 families.

There are currently 13 Ronald McDonald Houses across Australia.

So head out to McDonald's now and purchase a Big Mac, a Happy Meal or a Crazy Straw and smile because right now someone else will be able to smile because of your support. Xx

My Baby Bunny & Butterfly Princess.

What did you call your baby while you were pregnant or after they were born? Did you have their name chosen or did you come up with a little affectionate to know them by until they were born? Two of my babies pictured Aston and Airlie were known as Baby Bunny and Butterfly Princess. They were both known by these names while I was pregnant and after they were born. My big boy Mason was know as puggle after he was born, he is 10 now so to be honest I'm not sure what I called him when I was pregnant?
