Awesome Bloggers and Social Media Secret Santa Fun

This year I participated in my very first Secret Santa and it was so much fun!
Thanks to Chantelle from Fat Mum Slim who put the whole thing together. There were thousands...okay hundreds..well there were lots of bloggers and social media peeps who answered a few basic questions and Chantelle partnered us all up and took care of all the rest. We were then given the details of who we needed to buy for and a request of a minimum spend of $30 was suggested. I checked out my recipients blog (several times - I already read her blog but went back through loads of posts to try and find out as much as I could) along with the suggestions I searched around to try and find the perfect gift. It was actually a lot harder then what I thought it was going to be as I wanted to find a great gift. After searching and search I finally put together something I hoped the recipient would like and posted it off to them. I then waited patiently for my own Secret Santa present to arrive and wondered who may have been choosing a gift for me? Today my gift arrived and I was so excited to find a wonderful present that will defiantly be very loved and used in my house over and over again! Take a look at what I received!! Thank you so much to my Social Media Secret Santa! I LOVE my gift so much! I can't wait to use it and hope one day I can share a cupcake with you xx

Here are some of the bloggers, tweeters and Tumblers (is that what it we technically call someone on Tumbler?) that participated in the 2011 Social Media Secret Santa. If your name isn't listed here and you did participate please let me know and I will add you to the list. Just leave a comment below.

A huge THANK YOU to Chantelle from Fat Mum Slim for putting the Social Media Secret Santa  together! Not only did you do a fantastic job orchestrating this little online event, but you also brought together bloggers and social media people from across Australia and the world. You have helped us meet new friends, learn more about friends old and new, but most of all you helped us make someone else  feel great, and for that you should be congratulated. WELL DONE!

Have you ever participated in a Secret Santa before? How did it go?
Don't forget if you participated and are not shown on the list above to please let me know below and I will update the list. Please leave the direct link to your blog.

Wishing you a very Merry Teal, Red & Silver Christmas

I usually don't do themes at Christmas, but this year I thought I would get in on the action and use one of my colour crushes TEAL! I love the colour teal because it reminds me of the beach and just makes me feel happy!! Truth be known, if I could have found yellow decorations (or been smart enough to think about making them earlier) I would have probably added that colour too.  Here are some pictures from around our house this Christmas. I hope you enjoy them and would love you to leave a link below of your beautiful Christmas picture too. This year we also decided to buy a real Christmas tree and I am so glad we did! The smell in our house just takes me right back to when I was a little girl when Mum and Dad use to get a real Christmas tree. I know what you are thinking, what about the mess? You know what, who cares if it is going to make mess! Christmas is such a fun time of year for the whole family and we shouldn't be worrying about how messy it is going to get. Enjoy the spirit of Christmas and have a little fun!

The gorgeous  Christmas Subway Art  you can see with our own little Elf on the Shelf was a free download that I found over at Eye Candy Event Details, Thanks Laura!
I purchased the white lantern, red hearts & silver birds on the tree from IKEA
Our Christmas Wreath was made by my son Mason back in Kindergarten 6 years ago
All teal decorations were purchased from TARGET

Our Christmas Tree for 2011!

Merry Christmas xxx
